There are so many things about the process of working with Shannon that blew my mind but seeing as an essay might be too long, I’ll include just a few. I was pleasantly surprised when she offered a 3-part payment plan before I even had the chance to ask. We had virtual meetings to discuss my book and I not only felt heard but understood. She took 45 minutes of me ranting and turned it into a book cover I couldn’t have imagined myself. Even after weeks of revisions, she never complained when I kept changing my mind about certain elements. She entertained every notion and did it with a grace and professionalism one doesn’t see too often.
When I say I teared up when I first saw my book cover, I really mean that I cried. It takes a great deal of talent, creativity, listening skills and love for the job to do what she did with not only mine, but every other cover she’s created.
I am so thankful to have worked with such an incredible artist and cannot wait to show it to the world, because to keep this masterpiece to myself would be a selfish thing.
